WELCOME IN THE SQUARE

Meet in the main square with a local bilingual guide (Italian and English). A brief introduction to the history of the village and local emigration. Breakfast with espresso coffee and typical local pastries in a historic caffè.

MEETING WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES

We will organize a ceremony at the Town Hall in the presence of the Mayor and local authorities. The Mayor will provide birth, marriage, or death certificates of your grandparents or great-grandparents. Then you will take a group photo with the local authorities.

OPTIONAL ELEMENTS

· Handing over the keys to the city.

· Ceremony of awarding honorary citizenship by the Mayor.

· Performance by the local band and folklore group.

TRADITIONAL LUNCH

We will organize a traditional lunch for you in a typical local trattoria with a menu rich in traditional local dishes, with local products such as wine, homemade bread, olive oil, etc.

MEETING WITH LOCAL ARTISANS

To make your visit even more authentic, we will wander around the town's historic workshops, such as the textile workshop with its ancient looms, or we will visit the workshops where they make ceramics, glass, and other excellent local crafts. During the visit, there will be live demonstrations of local artisanal workmanship.

FOOD AND WINE EXPERIENCES

We will organize a private visit to an olive oil mill, a winery, or a local dairy, for you to taste local products—wine, oil, and cheese—directly with the producer and listen to tales of rural traditions.

We will organize a hands-on course to learn how to cook a typical local recipe: homemade pasta, a rustic cake, a traditional dessert, or pizza. Just like your grandmothers used to make it. And to finish the day, we will put you to the test with a cooking workshop.

Our guide will take you to the most iconic places in the town, including your family home. They will take you to the church where your parents or grandparents were baptized or married. You will walk through the alleys lined with stone houses, admire the fountains and ancient washhouses, immersing yourself into the life of the town. You will meet the elders along the streets and hear their stories, anecdotes, and more about the past.

We will organize a lunch for you at a typical restaurant that will serve local specialties, based on your request, paired with regional wines.
